When we start working with projects this big, in this case millions of active users, it’s a challenge to make balanced design decisions while maintaining the brand's existing image.
The branding team consisted of 2 designers and a Creative Director. We collaborated closely with Bitstrips's product director and lead designers to maintain and evolve the product vision.
Bitstrips wanted a new visual framework to expand their brand for upcoming new apps. They needed to update their brand identity in a way that would fit into Apple’s design ecosystem.
We’ve redesigned their existing logo as well as a visual system that enables the Bitstrips team to create at least four new app icons.
Apple features applications which they believe have a distinct identity and memorable user experience. Immediately after the redesign, Apple featured Bitstrips. Bitstrips subsequently released their new Bitmoji app.
